The single biggest reason a quote takes back-and-forth is missing dimensions — everything else on this list is secondary to that.
What actually changes a signage or print quote
- Size (and quantity, if more than one) — the single biggest price driver for almost every product on this site
- Where it's going — indoor or outdoor, and roughly how long it needs to last, changes which material makes sense
- Mounting method, if you already know it — eyelets vs pole pocket for a banner, wall-mounted vs suspended for a signboard, etc.
- Your deadline — flag it upfront if it's urgent; rush jobs are usually possible but easier to confirm early than at the last minute
- Artwork — a ready file speeds things up, but not having one yet is completely normal; design help is part of the service
What you don't need to figure out yourself
Material grade, lamination, exact mounting hardware — that's what the quote conversation is for. Sending rough measurements and a photo of the location (if it's a physical site) is usually enough to get a real number back, not just a "starting from" range.
The quote form on this site walks through exactly this — service, size/quantity/deadline, then contact details — and takes about the same time to fill in as it took to read this guide.
