In this post, we would like to share frequently asked questions (FAQ) about signages, or more frequently known by Singaporeans as Signboards. Signboard – Also known as Signage, is a term that directly translate from the Mandarin term “招牌” (Zhāo Pái). It is a necessity as it conveys a message or a brand name. Signboards comes in many different types, we it materials used, like acrylic, wood, metal or a mixture of them. Most Signboards these days are illuminated and can be spotted from far, across the streets.
Throughout the years, with technological advancements and a sea of ideas, signages are fabricated in as many impossible ways you could ever imagine.
A good signboard requires coordination between the signboard maker, the customer, and the designer who is coming up with the design. All 3 individuals plays an important role to achieve the desired outcome of a beautiful piece that is going to be hung up at the storefront, something that represents the company at first sight.

How long does it take to make a Signboard?

The duration to make a sign can vary depending of the materials used and complexity. Our consultants strive to meet your expectations on deadlines and turnaround time. While some projects may be ready in 24 hours, other projects may take longer to complete.

How do we ensure quality with our products

When it comes to ensuring the quality of our products, our consultants create a plan to deliver products according to your specific requirements. We examine the environment that the sign will be located at and determine the best match of materials. Our visual consultants continuously monitor and verify quality throughout the design and production process.

8 golden questions that determines the price of your signage.

1. The size. The size of the signboard will be a big factor that will determine the size of the signage. It will really help if you can provide the size you want with the artwork before asking for a quotation.
2. What are you trying to accomplish with your sign?
3. Determining the right type(s) of signs for you is step one.
4. Do you have an artwork? Or do we need to create it?
5. How complicated is the sign design?
6. Accessibility for installation of signage. Depending on the height of the signage, some signages are only accessible by boom lift, scissors lift or scaffolding, where additional charges will be implemented.
7. Does your signage require any permits? In Singapore context, the most common permit will be BCA, URA, or the landlord’s permission to install the signage. This is when we will provide a detailed drawing of the signage installation method, and submit it accordingly to the relevant authorities for approval before fabricating it.
8. The choice of materials for the sign. We will usually recommend the materials used to the construct the sign. It will depend on the aesthetic view and of course the condition of the environment, whether the sign will be placed indoors or outdoors. In some special conditions, where the signage location will be located near the sea, we will also recommend to use higher grades of metal for construction, for anti corrosion.

How long will be the production process?

The time line required to produce a sign will depend on the complexity of the sign. Some may take as fast as 1 day, while some may take up to 2 weeks. We will always try our best possible way to complete the signage within a given lead time before your given deadline, however, we will also require ample time to produce the best quality signage for your business. 

Do you provide power supply for the signages?

No, we do not. As a signboard making company, we are not allowed to provide power supply. You will required to hire a qualified electrician to hard wire into your power supply.

Are proofs of the new signboard will be provided before confirmation?

Yes, definitely! All artwork must be checked, approved, and signed off by the customer prior to manufacturing and installation. Any amendments after the confirmation of the original proposed may incur in extra cost.
